Theme I mixed & mastered by Abbey Nettleton. Written for A76 | a design podcast hosted by Noel Childs. Cover art by Noel Childs. A brief minimalist composition for violin, my mom’s broken Crate tube amp, and the extraneous sounds of my first Chicago apartment. I was inspired by Philip Glass, whose minimalist string quartets I have loved studying (I think my favorite is Mishima) and Laurie Anderson (what an incredible life she has lived— I love listening to Landfall and I find her works so comforting). I composed and performed this piece. (2023).

I Wanna Live! I Wanna Try recorded at Kernel Sound Emporium, produced by Steve Dawson. Cover art by Blaine Fuson. My first release— an orchestral, singer-songwriter, “I Want…” ballad written for my 17-year old self. It felt like it leapt out of me, directly from the voice of that tired, high-achieving, self-conscious, depressed, and musical-theater-loving teenage girl who I know so well. It felt really special to honor her dreams, bringing her fears and hopes to life in this song. Whenever I’m feeling down, I remember I am exactly where I thought I’d never be. I wrote, composed, and performed this song. (2023).

Hope Flies (a Live EP) recorded and mixed at Little Heart Ray Studio by James H Jewell III. Cover art by Blaine Fuson. These are live, acoustic renditions of two of my songs! I wrote Hope Flies on a word-list assignment in a songwriting class taught by Steve Dawson, using a new alternate tuning guitar technique I learned from Chris Walz. I feel my understanding and performance of this piece has only grown since this recording and I can’t wait to put out a fully orchestrated version. I wrote, composed, and performed these songs. (2024).

suncatchers by Damsel. Produced by Christina Henson (aka Damsel.) & Jacob Olsen. I improvised layers of the violin parts for Christina during a lovely recording session after sharing a bill at a Chicago River Show, organized by Lawrence Tome. I find the final product to be incredibly delicate, shimmering and heartfelt, and I bet you will too. (2025). Stay tuned for an additional release from this album that I played on as well!

Hunting Season by Meg Woods. Produced by Russell Wine. I improvised the weaving fiddle parts and it was very cool to see how Meg and Russell wrapped it all together. The lyrical hook of this song is killer, and every time I listen to it it gets stuck in my head. (2024).

Good to Know by Blue Stevenson. Produced by Blue Stevenson. Blue and I co-wrote this melodic break-up pop song in a couple hours, and it was our first time meeting! She’s a brilliant, concise writer, and I’m sure you’ll want to dance to this one :) (2024).

In My World (feat. Stella Solveig) by Vivek Paul. Vivek was looking for a violinist online, and I recorded some demos remotely, making adjustments as requested, until we arrived at this final violin accompaniment for his mysterious song. This was my first session musician collaboration in Chicago! (2023).
